[Dragonrealms] A Debate, or No Shadowling for Me Please.

(As told from Kythera's point of view)

You ask, "What spells are you thinking about getting?"

Cazzerkon asks Klejotogars, "Do you know about shadewatch mirror?"

You say, "I know about it, yes."

Klejotogars says, "Shadewatch mirror, thought cast, brauns conjecture."

Cazzerkon says, "Can a moonbeam be shifted to that location."

You say, "I will not learn shadewatch mirror."

Cazzerkon asks you, "Why?"

Klejotogars says to Cazzerkon, "I don't know the spell so I really don't know how it works."

Klejotogars says, "I'm also contemplating empower moonblade."

Cazzerkon says, "Seems fairly useless if you can not."

You say, "A philosophy difference between the tezarites and myself."

Klejotogars says, "Well, you can locate someone and then watch them through it."

Topomax came through an ornate silver gateway.

Topomax takes a seat.

Topomax puts his hammer in his miner's knapsack.

Klejotogars says, "Along with thought cast you can communicate remotely with them as well."

Cazzerkon says, "I like to hear more about your philosophy."

You say, "You could do the same thing with a moon beam."

Klejotogars says, "But if they move."

Topomax waves to you.

You say, "Locate and shift it to them again."

Klejotogars smiles at you.

Klejotogars says, "Some people move quite a bit. That would be cumbersome."

You ask, "Sure, but if they move alot, what are you going to see with the mirror?"

Cazzerkon says, "It is said the mirror can follow where a moonbeam can not."

Klejotogars scans the sky from horizon to horizon.

Topomax says, "Makes sense, mirrors are small and moons are big."

Topomax nods.

Topomax smiles.

Topomax glances up at the sky.

Topomax leaps to his feet!

Topomax went through an ornate silver gateway.

Klejotogars puts his pestle in his alchemy kit.

Klejotogars puts his mortar in his alchemy kit.

Klejotogars says, "I need more supplies."

Klejotogars says, "I'll be back."

Cazzerkon says, "I keep losing professors."

You say, "I will also not learn the shadowling and shadow servant spells."

Cazzerkon says, "You do not like dark things."

Cazzerkon asks, "Do you have a sect affiliation?"

You nod to Cazzerkon.

You say, "I study under Tiv, or used to."

In a blazing fountain of red-gold sparks, a red Moongate blazes into life.

Nomad Klejotogars came through a red Moongate.

A red Moongate suddenly twists in on itself and vanishes.
You happen to sense a Yavash moonbeam moving away from the area.

You shake your head at Cazzerkon.

Klejotogars says, "No."

Klejotogars says, "Tiv is no longer a guild leader."

You say, "Tiv used to be the guild leader at the guild house near the volcanoes."

You say, "After his....adventure...He is recovering in the spire in haven."

Klejotogars says to you, "And I think not taking shadowling and shadow servant may be a mistake."

You say, "Tiv is the leader of the Crystal Hand Monks."

Klejotogars says, "They are very good spells."

Klejotogars puts his sieve in his alchemy kit.

You say, "That could be true."

Klejotogars asks, "What do have against them?"

Cazzerkon says, "And spells I would thing the crystal hand monks would like."

You ask, "How does having a servant better myself?"

Cazzerkon nods.

Klejotogars says, "The same way being apart of the guild betters yourself."

You say, "I don't think forcing one to work with me is honing me."

Klejotogars says, "Or joining the order of monks betters you. It gives you spirit to work with that can do things you can not."

You say, "I can be part of this guild and not learn all the spells."

Klejotogars nods to you.

Klejotogars says, "That is true."

You say, "We are part of a guild that is based on magical philosophy.  If we choose a path, it should be one for our specific learning, not because the consensus thinks it is the best."

Klejotogars says, "But having a spirit to hold your things makes you less dependent on others and breaks you of the need to come back to town if you choose."

You say, "If I can't keep my "thinks" to an amount I can't carry, I need to rethink on my idea of things."

You cough.

You say, "Things."

You say, "If I have to work harder to be in this guild without them, I am willing to do so."

Klejotogars says, "And the shadowling enhances your connection to the spirits and allows you to cast spells with more efficiency."

You say, "As Tiv says, "Through discipline comes power."

Cazzerkon says, "Discipline comes hard to me."

You say, "I shouldn't need a tool to connect to the astral realm. I should be that tool."

Klejotogars says, "Well the tools are the stars and moons."

Cazzerkon asks, "So, you aspire to be a tool?"

Cazzerkon says, "I get your point.  thank you for sharing your philosophy."

You say, "No, we are the tool of the stars and the moon."

You say, "Through us, they warn those that can't see what they are saying."

Cazzerkon nods to you.

You say, "Though us, they give us knowledge to let others learn."

You say, "They are the past and future of Elanthia."

Cazzerkon says, "Was a joke about being a tool, I wanted you to understand no disrespect intended."

You nod to Cazzerkon.

Klejotogars says to you, "Being a tool limits what you can be."

You say, "No disrespect taken."

Cazzerkon says, "I still do not understand your objection to the shadewatch mirror, other than not being particularly useful."

Klejotogars says, "Or the shadowling."

Klejotogars shrugs.

You ask, "We can walk among the stars, what limits do I have?"

Klejotogars says, "Well, we can walk upon the wind."

Klejotogars says, "But the stars are out of reach unless we die."

You say, "I am sorry I must go."

Klejotogars nods to you.

Cazzerkon says, "Now I seem to remember that some can reach the planets, I imagine the stars are not out of reach."

You nod to Cazzerkon.
